MEAP Energy Bill

July 18th, 2008 By meap

Energy and Friends Revolution Resolution

Whereas Petronia has an energy crisis. We are currently importing 39.2 billion Petrouls of oil annually. This is our third largest import, and by having this dependence on foreign nations, we are weaker, and less independent. If we do not end our dependence on oil, when it runs out will have no fuel.

Whereas to avoid the crisis of running out of fuel, we will work with other nations that are experiencing the same problem as we are to develop alternative fuels.

Whereas investing in alternative energy, we can create more jobs, thus strengthening our economy. We believe that this will strengthen our trade stance, and make us a more competitive player today, and especially tomorrow.

Whereas we are the one of the leaders of coal technology, we will work with other nations, like Yemen and USA to develop cleaner coal technology. We plan to institute carbon sequestration.

Whereas we are committed to stopping air pollution, this bill will help us stop climate change by introducing emission standards, and developing cleaner sources of energy, like electricity, and clean coal.

Whereas many nations are developing revolutionary ideas for becoming independent from oil, we would like to learn from them. We know Brazil is pretty much energy independent, so we would like to learn from them and develop our agriculture to make us more independent on foreign oil, and more dependent on renewable fuels.

Other nations, like Israel are pioneering practical solutions to the energy crisis. They are currently building an infrastructure that is suitable for electric cars. This will grealty lessen their dependence on foreign oil, and at the same time lessen their carbon footprint. We would like to work with Israel to develop a similar infrastructure in our own nation.

Whereas Saudi Arabia is currently a leader in solar power, we would like to learn from them and adopt similar solar technology. We would also like to work with Jordan, who currently working on a wind power project. So when it isn’t sunny, it is normally windy, so it is a win-win situation.

Whereas the UAE is developing non carbon emitting cities, we would like to work with them to make sister cities of those in the UAE in Petronia. We believe that this will increase our relations, while at the same time lessening our commitment to foreign nations.

Be it resolved that. . .

1. Work with Israel to develop an infrastructure fully supportive of electric cars.

2. Work with the UAE to develop new settlements that produce no carbon emissions. Each city will cost about 15 billion dollars to produce.

3. We will work with Yemen and the USA to develop coal technology.

4. Work with Saudi Arabia to develop solar technology

5. Set emission standards to lower emissions by 80% by 2030.

6. Work with Brazil to develop agricultural practices that will lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

7. Work with Jordan to develop more wind power.

We will run out of oil. It is inevitable. Petronia must implement these changes to lessen our dependence on other nations, and strengthen our own nation by creating more jobs, and creating a cleaner nation. If we don’t do something to curb our dependence on oil, we will be sorry.

Why should our Iraqi reconstruction bill be endorsed?!

July 18th, 2008 By meap

We think that it will be in the best interest of all other parties to accept this  bill because by helping resolve situation in Iraq you are helping establishing diplomacy and peace, you are helping establishing free trade, you are helping battle against terrorism. By resolving this situation we can concentrate on other problems in this region such as problems with oil and alternative sources of energy and that is something that all of us wish to accomplish. So, vote for this bill  is vote for Petrounia, and vote for Petrounia is vote for people!!!

Be it resolved that: as a part of UN, try to replace military forces with peacekeeping and rebuilding troops, who will then work on providing safe working conditions and normal life conditions for the citizens of Iraq.

Why it should be endorsed: Petrounia stands for peaceful and diplomatic country, so it is our obligation to help war torn countries as much as we can, and to help them establish diplomatic relations.
